What is the difference between worldly love and love for God?

A person who loves a worldly person always doubts, and is in constant dilemma wondering, "The one whom I love, does he love me or not? And if he does, how much does he love me?" We always get caught up in thoughts like this. This is because, in this world, no one shows real sentiments. Some pretend to show more love by writing many letters, while others hide and don't express at all. Also, we always try to show that we love the other person more than he loves us. But, all the while, internally we want the other to love us more than we love him. That is why the one who loves the world is mostly tense, and wonders whether or not the other person loves him.

In the spiritual realm, there are no such worries. If you would like to determine how much your ishta deva (the chosen form of God you worship) and your Guru loves you, just measure your love. He loves you as much as you love Him. If you love Him less, then He also loves you little. If you love Him more, then He will also love you to the same extent.

  2. In Divine realm we no need to think at all, how much we love the divine personalities the same extent they love us too. With worldly love there is always tension, anxiety and acting , show off and need to pretend that we are loving some times. But in divine realm it is only bliss that can be experienced with the love we get from divine personalities.

  14. We can waste ourselves in worldly love. But no drop of love for God and Guru is ever wasted. The more we love God and Guru the more love we receive.

  15. Real love possible only with God not in the material or mayik person.By the day Worldly person love decreases but more we love God more God love us.

  16. World consisting of body, mind, intellect, wealth, food etc is all material and temporary and always changing. If we love any material person or thing it has to be temporary and fluctuating. Hence divine love is permanent and ever increasing.

  17. Divine love expects nothing nothing from the beloved whereas material realm starts with expecting from other side. These are two completely different types.

  18. Spiritual love is so much more simpler and natural for us. If only we understand this..

  19. There is no comparison between material and spiritual reaml. One is guided by the material mind full of impurity whereas divine love comes with surrender of the mind, ego, and intellect, where its not about 'I' rather about the 'him'.

  23. We all desire for pure love free from pretense, envy, anxiety ..love full of bliss which is ever increasing & ever fresh.
We can never get that love..nor can we love worldly people in that manner.
Only God who is an ocean of ever increasing bliss, beauty freshness & much more can provide us with something we can truly .
And the best part he loves us back in the same fashion...so lets love our true love.

  26. Feeling of love is the crown jewel of all happiness...& to love is the sole aim of our soul. However worldly love is based on selfish needs and fades away with time.
Parents love their baby very dearly & the child reciprocates to similar extent.
However as the child gets older & turns into an adult, his/her love for the parents gradually lowers & they start experience happiness
from other worldly people/things...leaving parents with a sense of depression/discontent.
Same goes for all worldly relationships be it long lasting friendships, or married couples etc. Worldly relationships always endup
in discontentment if we search for love in them. However we just accept it as a way of life & live with this mediocrity.

But we don't have to!And that is by offering our heart to the RadhaKrishna...we can endeavor to reach our goal of everlasting love.
